Position Details

• Full-Time
• Monday – Friday
• 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials on a conveyor line
• Remove non-recyclable and contaminating materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with general recycling facility operations
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in an active industrial environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

The Work

•      Diagnosing and fixing diesel trucks and heavy equipment — engines, electrical, hydraulics, brakes, air brakes, suspension

•      Staying on top of PMs, fluid and filter changes

•      Jumping on emergency breakdowns and road calls when they happen

•      Running diagnostics with Cummins Insite, Mack PTT, PACCAR DAVIE4, Meritor WABCO

•      Knocking out repairs flagged on driver inspection reports

•      Keeping accurate records — parts, labor, time

•      Working safe, keeping the shop clean, following our Life Critical Rules

What You Need

•      Real experience turning wrenches on diesel or heavy-duty equipment

•      Solid grasp of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brakes

•      Valid driver's license (got a CDL? Even better. Don't have one? We'll help you get it.)

•      High school diploma; trade school is a plus, not a requirement

•      Comfortable enough with diagnostic software to actually use it

•      Strong enough to lift up to 100 lbs and handle physical work day to day

Schedule

• Start time: Approximately 4:00 AM until route completion (typically 8–9.5 hour days)

• Location: Ebensburg, PA

Responsibilities

• Operate rear-load garbage trucks on residential and commercial routes

  • Ability to operate Front Load, Side Load (ASL), Roll-off a plus!

• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily safety inspections (DVIRs)

• Safely navigate routes, residential streets, alleys, and commercial areas

• Work with a Loader to complete routes efficiently and safely (if applicable)

• Assist with loading when needed, including bulk and large-item pickups

• Operate automated and semi-automated lifting equipment

• Transport and dispose of waste at designated facilities

• Complete route sheets, work orders, dump tickets, and required documentation

• Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding delays, hazards, or service issues

• Identify and report damaged containers or equipment

• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck

• Refuel and monitor fluid levels as needed

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies, including Life Critical Rules (LCRs)

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B or higher (no air brake restriction)

• Valid Medical Certificate

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle (CMV)

• Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements

• Waste industry experience preferred

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and DOT regulations

• Ability to work early morning hours and in outdoor conditions

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment screening

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
