Schedule

• Full-Time

• Monday – Friday

• Start time: Approximately 4:00 AM until route completion (typically 8–9.5 hour days)

• Location: Latrobe, PA

Responsibilities

• Operate rear-load and/or Front Load garbage trucks on residential and commercial routes

• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily safety inspections (DVIRs)

• Safely navigate routes, residential streets, alleys, and commercial areas

• Work with a Loader (when required) to complete routes efficiently and safely

• Assist with loading when needed, including bulk and large-item pickups

• Operate automated and semi-automated lifting equipment

• Transport and dispose of waste at designated facilities

• Complete route sheets, work orders, dump tickets, and required documentation

• Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding delays, hazards, or service issues

• Identify and report damaged containers or equipment

• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck

• Refuel and monitor fluid levels as needed

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies, including Life Critical Rules (LCRs)

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B or higher (no air brake restriction)

• Valid Medical Certificate

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle (CMV)

• Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements

• Waste industry experience preferred

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and DOT regulations

• Ability to work early morning hours and in outdoor conditions

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment screening

• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Load and empty residential and commercial waste/recycling containers

• Work alongside driver on rear load trucks

• Assist driver with backing and route navigation

• Operate automated/semi-automated lifting equipment

• Follow assigned routes, work orders, and daily instructions

• Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and customers

• Ensure containers are properly returned and not obstructing property or traffic

• Report safety concerns, delays, or service issues

• Use company tablets and systems to complete work orders

• Stay aware of weather and road conditions

• Attend required trainings and safety meetings

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older

• High school diploma required

• Waste industry experience preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to safety and service standards

Additional Information

Home every night — no long-haul driving. Full-time, steady work with a growing local company.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 24' or 26' non-CDL box truck
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Provide dependable, courteous service to customers
• Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Report route issues or vehicle concerns to dispatch/management

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Comfortable with early morning start times and physical, outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude
• Must be able to begin and end your day at our Ebensburg facility
• Prior driving or route experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment
• Perform repairs on electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air brake systems
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), fluid changes, and filter replacements
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform road/service calls as needed
• Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot and identify failure modes
• Work with systems including Cummins Insite, Mack PTT (Premium Tech Tool), DAVIE4 (PACCAR), and Meritor WABCO
• Review and complete repairs from Driver Inspection Reports (DRIVRs)
• Accurately document all work in repair logs and fleet maintenance systems (parts, labor, time)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Life Critical Rules (LCRs)
• Communicate repair needs, updates, and concerns with Site Manager and Director of Maintenance
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong communication

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred (or ability to obtain through Pro Disposal)
• Experience as a diesel or heavy-duty mechanic
• High school diploma required
• Trade school education (diesel/heavy equipment) preferred
• Experience in waste industry a plus
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brakes
• Experience with diagnostic software and computerized maintenance systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently

Pro Disposal's been running trucks around Central PA for three generations — over 100,000 customers a week, 75+ trucks on the road, nine counties covered. We're growing, adding new equipment (including some EVs), and we need a solid diesel mechanic to help keep the fleet moving.

The Work

•      Diagnosing and fixing diesel trucks and heavy equipment — engines, electrical, hydraulics, brakes, air brakes, suspension

•      Staying on top of PMs, fluid and filter changes

•      Jumping on emergency breakdowns and road calls when they happen

•      Running diagnostics with Cummins Insite, Mack PTT, PACCAR DAVIE4, Meritor WABCO

•      Knocking out repairs flagged on driver inspection reports

•      Keeping accurate records — parts, labor, time

•      Working safe, keeping the shop clean, following our Life Critical Rules

What You Need

•      Real experience turning wrenches on diesel or heavy-duty equipment

•      Solid grasp of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brakes

•      Valid driver's license (got a CDL? Even better. Don't have one? We'll help you get it.)

•      High school diploma; trade school is a plus, not a requirement

•      Comfortable enough with diagnostic software to actually use it

•      Strong enough to lift up to 100 lbs and handle physical work day to day

This is not an entry-level collections position. We are looking for someone who knows how to research an account, reach the right person, have a direct but respectful conversation, secure a realistic payment commitment, document it properly, and follow through until the account is resolved.

What You’ll Do

·      Work delinquent customer accounts, with a strong focus on 90+ day balances.

·      Contact residential and commercial customers to collect payment and resolve past-due balances.

·      Negotiate payment arrangements within company guidelines and follow up on every commitment.

·      Research billing questions, service issues, payment history, and account disputes.

·      Keep detailed, accurate notes and maintain organized follow-up activity.

·      Recommend appropriate escalation when an account cannot be resolved through normal collection efforts.

·      Help Pro Disposal reduce aged receivables while maintaining professional customer relationships.

What You Must Bring

·      Required: successful professional experience collecting accounts 90 days or more past due.

·      Confidence and professionalism on the telephone, including difficult or high-pressure conversations.

·      Strong negotiation, follow-up, documentation, and account-research skills.

·      The ability to work independently, prioritize a portfolio, and deliver measurable results.

·      Comfort using computers, billing systems, email, spreadsheets, and account-aging reports.

A Definite Plus

·      Experience in the trash hauling, solid waste, recycling, utility, or route-service industry.

·      Hands-on experience with TrashFlow software.

·      Experience collecting both residential and commercial accounts.
